| Posted: 07 Sep 2012 01:13 PM PDT  Pep Talk 34cm x 22cm Pencil on Bristol Board Copyright Laura Hardie 2012 I don't get a chance to go to the races often but when I do I always have my camera with me ready to take as many photos of the horses as I can in the hope I'll get some good ones to work from. I don't have the powerful zoom lenses (yet!) to allow me to get some good action shots of the race itself so spend most of my time at the parade ring. My drawing 'Pep Talk' is from one such visit. I started this one back in February, put it to one side while I worked on other drawings, and only got round to finishing it recently.  |
